Helie is a trans man who in his canon universe is the WoL, but he can be adapted into other canon as needed. He is both a healer and a dragoon, if pressed he does prefer to heal however. He is dyslexic and is more into working out than reading books and is rather conscious sometimes of his lacking education, especially in the face of other nobles. He was supposed to have been a peer, but the accusation of his parents and their subsequent escape from Ishgard without him left that option impossible.
Helie loves all things soft and cute, as well as flowers, for he is quite good at botany and making green things grow. In comparison, he is the Fun Dad, but if anybody dares to hurt his friends, they'd better prepare their eulogy.
He exists in several universes, notably one where he took the Heretic path shortly before completing his training as a dragoon.
Born 1552 Sixth Astral Era, 22nd Sun of the 6th Astral Moon to Cécily and Gouilliet Descombes, a minor noble branch of Ishgard.In 1563, his parents are accused of Heresy and he is left alone to join a band of thieves, terrorizing the good citizens of Ishgard until 1567 when he gets too tall to be an effective thief and leaves for Coerthas. There, his paternal aunt Chamaille Descombes picks him up and starts training him to become a dragoon and a productive member of society (read: marry well so the Descombes can erase the stain of Heresy).He stays with her throughout the Calamity and the subsequent changing of Coerthas, until the strain of Chamaille’s expectations begin to sour their relationship and he leaves to head to Gridania and turn to the conjurers to begin gender-reassignment. While there, he decides to use both his newly found powers as a conjurer and his dragoon training to become an adventurer.He joins the scions of the seventh dawn after proving to be an excellent fighter, capable of felling eikons, which he reluctantly accepts as his duty. Operation Archon gives him the incentive to take it seriously though and after everything, he grows to see them as friends and not simply work-colleagues, making this his first time feeling comfortable with other people since the band of thieves.During the events of finding the Ivy, Heliereaux and Ilberd start a relationship that lasts until the banquet.Fleeing to Ishgard, Heliereaux is glad to see that his last name no longer poses a problem, having the backing of House Fortemps also helps. He returns frequently to Gridania to look after his plants and make a few delivery runs, where he meets with Lauviron Corentiaux, forming a friendship with the bookbinder that develops into a relationship.
